Solid redwood from the Santa Cruz mountains. It came from a tree from my family’s property that was cut down in the early 1980s to build the house I grew up in. It served as a countertop for my treehouse from 2000-2010. I saved this piece of wood after the treehouse fell down.

Roughly 10 hours of machining time.

Finished with food safe polymerized linseed oil (Tried and True – Danish Oil). Four coats, 8 hours dry time between coats, with 0000 steel wood buffing before each additional coat.
