This was one of the first business card holders that I did. It was made out of sustainably harvested oak wood and blue epoxy.
I decided to do a satin oil finish. Oil finishes are durable and easy to apply.
This piece was large enough to hold about three thick cards, or a bunch of skinny cards. The gap on the top was about 1/8″ wide and in later versions I started doubling the gap size to accommodate more cards.
The wood came from a tree that fell down from natural causes in the Santa Cruz mountains.
