Heart bowl, made out madrone wood with lava shimmer (reddish) epoxy drips. The madrone was harvested by Corbin from a dying tree in the Santa Cruz mountains. The bowl is finished with a food safe oil (Osmo Top Oil), and buffed out to a light satin sheen with some bees wax.
More information about my Heart Bowls can be found over on my blog: Heart Bowls – CNC Woodworking.
These bowls take ~10 hours of machining time and 4-5 hours of hand work to complete.
Dimensions: about 8 1/2″ from the bottom of the heart to the tip of the round bits, 8 1/2″ wide at the widest part, and about 2 1/4″ tall. It is about the size of a cereal bowl.
Care instructions: Hand wash with soap and water. Do not put in the dishwasher; it will destroy the bowl. Do not leave liquid in the bowl for a long period, as it will cause it to swell and crack.
