This is heart box #1, a prototype I made that turned out awesome! But, being a prototype, the lid didn’t fit quite right, so I hand ground down the edges of the underside of the lid. This left some small marks on the underside lip; it is hardly noticeable, but because of it, I am charging less for this box than my other ones. Please see the last picture for some of the details on it.
This is a custom wooden box, made out of cherry hardwood and bora bora blue tinted epoxy. It has a very organic, curvy shape, with the colored part flowing through the middle of the box between the top and the lid. This box is my original unique design that you will not see anywhere else!
The size is about 8″ from the bottom of the heart to the tip of the round parts. The width is about 8-1/4″ wide at the widest part, and about 2-3/4″ tall with the lid on. The box inside is about the size of a large cereal bowl.
The bowl is finished with a food safe oil (Osmo Top Oil), and buffed out to a light satin sheen.
These bowls take ~10 hours of machining time and 4-5 hours of hand work to complete. This piece you see in the photos is the one you will get.
Care instructions: Hand wash with soap and water. Do not put in the dishwasher. Do not leave liquid in the bowl for a long period, as it will cause it to swell and crack. Do not drop it, as the epoxy may crack if dropped.
