UPDATE: I’m listing this one bowl drastically lower than my other ones. It has a small defect: the top rocks slightly left to right. This is due to the wood drying a bit more, and bending slightly. Still a gorgeous box, but it doesn’t quite meet my standard of quality for full price.
A custom wooden heart box, made out of cherry hardwood and a dark purple tinted epoxy resin. It has a very organic, curvy shape, with the colored part flowing through the middle of the box between the top and the lid. This box is my original unique design that you will not see anywhere else!
The size is about 8″ from the bottom of the heart to the tip of the round parts. The width is about 8-1/4″ wide at the widest part, and about 2-3/4″ tall with the lid on. The box inside is about the size of a large cereal bowl.
The bowl is finished with a food safe oil (Osmo Top Oil), and buffed out to a light satin sheen with some bees wax.
This particular box is #4 of 5 “epoxy and wood” boxes that I have made so far. I also have several wood-only heart boxes.
Note: the lid rocks slightly back and forth; this is normal for flat-sawn wood tops, as they tend to bend a little bit with changes in humidity.
Care instructions: Hand wash with soap and water. Do not put in the dishwasher. Do not drop it, as the epoxy may crack if dropped. Avoid long periods of time in direct sunlight; it may make the epoxy fade or get soft.
