The most unique and beautiful wood salad set! I did design this set specifically for salads, but the spoon can do double duty as a spatula, as it has a very subtle curve to it. I find myself using this spoon a lot to stir things in the frying pan. Well, not this exact spoon, but one I made for myself!
Both are made from cherry wood with a rose shape flower inlay filled with purple tinted epoxy.
The wood is finished with a 100% food safe cutting board oil from “Walrus Oil” (not made with any animal products). It provides a nice satin finish, that can easily be renewed over time with more oil.
The sizes are roughly: 12.7″ long, 3″ wide, 1.1″ tall.
These are hand made by me (Corbin Dunn) in my small workshop in Truckee, California from my own design.
Care instructions: hand wash with soap and warm water. Do not leave them sitting in liquid for long periods of time. Do not put in the dishwasher. Refresh the finish with more cutting board oil very now and again.
You can watch me make one of these over on YouTube: Building The Salad Set with my CNC
If you have a CNC machine, I do sell some *similar* digital files (but a slightly different shape) to make one of these for your own use on your own machine in the CNC Files Section of this website. This set was an experiment in a more round version of the spoon/spatula.
